In order to use the pool, you will need:

● A new unused liner. Please only use a Birth Pool in a Box liner of the right size to ensure a good fit. Pools must only be filled with a new, unused liner.

● An air pump to inflate the pool – you might already have one for inflatable ​air beds etc.

● A new unused hose – long enough to reach from your tap or water source to wherever your pool will be located, and from the pool to the waste outlet (usually a toilet).

● A connector for the hose to attach to your tap: *do check this fits in advance*.

● A cheap sieve to remove any debris from the pool during the process of birth.

● A clean bucket to move water in and out of the pool in order to get the temperature right.

● A submersible pump – optional but a great help in emptying the pool afterwards.

The liner, sieve and hose (if used to empty the pool) should all be disposed of after use.
